Luxury Vinyl Tiles
Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT’s) are our most popular alternative to real wood flooring.
Exceptional wear ratings and realistic and innovative surface designs makes this the ideal type of flooring for both residential and commercial applications.
Vinyl tiles or planks are structured with several layers – a PVC backing layer, a high definition photographic layer, a clear PVC embossed wear layer and a top polyurethane (PU) protective coating. The thickness of the wear layer determines the lifetime of the tiles.
Preparation is essential; the subfloor that the tiles are adhered to has to be perfectly smooth and stable, this is achieved by the use of smoothing compounds or plywood. This preparation is a critical part of our installation procedure.
LVT’s are ideal for creating designs and patterns individual to the room they are installed in.
Loose-Lay and Rigid Core Vinyl Planks
Surfaced the same as Luxury Vinyl Planks, Loose Lay and Rigid Core Planks have the benefit of not needing to be adhered to the substrate, reducing installation time and costs.
Laminate Flooring
Laminate flooring is essentially a moisture-resistant, high-density fibre board, similar to some engineered wood flooring, but instead of a real wood wear lasyer, the surface is covered with a high resolution photographic image of wood and coated with an exceptionally durable wear layer. The latest ‘registered embossing’ techniques give an authentic representation of the surface graining and imperfections that feature in the natural material. Laminate flooring is always laid as a floating floor over a cushioned underlayment.
